Ramadan Get-together Recap

Austin Tamizh Sangam warmly hosted its third annual Ramadan get-together on Sunday, March 29th, at Cat Hollow Park, bringing the community together in a spirit of unity, reflection, and generosity. The gathering was enriched by an insightful talk from Janab Sheikh Mohseen, who beautifully highlighted the true essence of Ramadan—compassion, charity, sharing, and caring for those in need.

Adding to the meaningful discussions, he introduced the EIXSYS Health Care System, managed by ICBC, which provides free medical services to the uninsured, underserved, and indigent. Open five days a week, this initiative stands as a beacon of accessible healthcare for the community. In keeping with the values of Ramadan, ATS encouraged attendees to contribute nonperishable and canned food items for donation to the Central Texas Food Bank. The community responded with generous contributions, and ATS has pledged to match them, further amplifying the impact of this noble cause.

The evening concluded on a warm, joyful note, with a delicious dinner lovingly served by ATS and the community members. Austin Tamizh Sangam extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and participants whose enthusiasm and support made the event truly memorable.
