ATS 2025 இளைஞர் தின நிகழ்ச்சி சுருக்கம்
ஆகஸ்ட் 23, 2025 சனிக்கிழமை, ATS இளைஞர் குழு நடுநிலை மற்றும் உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்காக ஒரு அற்புதமான நிகழ்வை சீடர் பார்க் பொழுதுபோக்கு மையத்தில் நடத்தியது! பல்லாங்குழி, பம்பரம் மற்றும் கோலி போன்ற பாரம்பரிய தமிழ் விளையாட்டுகளைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வதன் மூலம் நாள் தொடங்கியது. பின்னர், கலைமாமணி முனைவர். திருமதி. லட்சுமி ராமசுவாமி அவர்கள் தனது அழகான பேச்சு மற்றும் பரதநாட்டிய செயல்திறன் மூலம் அனைவரையும் ஈர்த்து சங்ககால பாடல்களில் ஈடுபாடு வரவைத்தார். பண்டைய தமிழ் மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை நற்றிணை மற்றும் புறநானூறு பாடல்கள் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்தினார். உணர்ச்சிப்பூர்வமான நடுகல் பாடல் சிறப்பம்சமாக இருந்து, பார்வையாளர்களைக் கண்ணீர் மல்க வைத்தது என்றால் மிகையாகாது! நிகழ்ச்சியில் இடம் பெற்ற சில பாடல்கள்: “நின்ற சொல்லர்..” (நற்றிணை 1), “சிலரும், பலரும்..” (நற்றிணை 149), “உண்டாலம்ம…” (புறநானூறு 182), “படைப்பு பல..” (புறநானூறு 188), “பாடுநர்க்கு ஈத்த..” (புறநானூறு 221).
டெக்சாஸ் ஏ&எம் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பிரேரி வியூக் கிளையில் ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் புதுமைத் துறையின் துணைத் தலைவராக உள்ள முனைவர். திரு. மகேஷ் ராஜன் அவர்கள் ஒரு அருமையான வழிகாட்டுதல் உரையை நிகழ்த்தினார். மாணவர்கள் தங்கள் கனவு கல்லூரிகளில் சேருவதற்குத் தயாராகுதல் மற்றும் அமெரிக்கக் கல்லூரிகளில் கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்தும் விளக்கிக் கூறினார். முனைவர் திரு. மகேஷ் அவர்கள் பார்வையாளர்கள் கேட்ட கேள்விகள் அனைத்திற்கும் தெளிவான பதில் அளித்து தனது உரையை நிறைவு செய்தார்.
தந்தையர் தின சமையல் போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்குச் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள் பரிசளித்தார்கள். சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களுக்கும், பார்வையாளர்களுக்கும், தன்னார்வ தொண்டர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் ஆஸ்டின் தமிழ்ச் சங்கத்தின் மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகள்!
2025 ATS Youth Day
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, the ATS Youth Committee hosted an amazing event for middle and high school students at the Cedar Park Recreation Center! The day started with learning traditional Tamizh games like Pallangkuzhi, Pambaram, and Goli. Then, Kalaimamani Dr. Lakshmi Ramaswamy wowed everyone with her beautiful speech and demonstrations through Bharathanatyam performance, showcasing the lives of ancient Tamizh people through songs from Nattrinai and Purananooru. The highlight was the emotional Nadukal song, where hero stones honored fallen warriors, moving the audience to tears! Some of the songs that she demonstrated were “Ninra Sollar..” ( Nattrinai1), “Silarum, palarum..” ( Nattrinai 149), “Undaalamma..” ( Purananooru 182), “Padaippu pala..” (Purananooru 188), “Paatunarkku Eetha..” (Purananooru 221).
Dr. Magesh Rajan, VP Research & Innovation at Prairie View, Texas A&M University, delivered an exceptional guidance speech. He provided students with valuable insights on preparing for admission to their dream colleges and the opportunities available in US institutions.
