ஆஸ்டின் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் நடத்திய சமூக விதைப் பரிமாற்ற நிகழ்ச்சி, சனிக்கிழமை, மார்ச் 14, 2026 அன்று பிரஷ்ஷி கிரீக் பூங்காவில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. சுமார் 200 பேர் கலந்து கொண்ட இந்த நிகழ்வு, தோட்டப் பணிகள் குறித்த ஆர்வத்தையும், பயனுள்ள தகவல் பகிர்வையும், சமூக இணைப்பையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்த அருமையான சந்திப்பாக அமைந்தது.

The Seed Exchange event organized by the Austin Tamizh Sangam was held with great success and vibrant enthusiasm on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Brushy Creek Park. With around 200 participants, the event blossomed into a lively, meaningful gathering that beautifully combined a shared passion for gardening, the exchange of valuable knowledge, and a strong sense of community.
The event featured several engaging highlights that drew great interest from attendees, including a seed exchange, an informative booth hosted by the Austin Tamizh Sangam Youth Committee, and complimentary peat pellets distributed in exchange for quick survey responses. Adding further value, the Travis County Master Gardener Plant Clinic team provided expert guidance, and presentations on establishing and maintaining vegetable garden beds offered practical insights and inspiration to participants.
A special highlight of the day was the distribution of complimentary Thulasi plants, generously provided by Sunshine Community Gardens, to all attendees. Many participants enhanced the spirit of the event by exchanging their own seeds and plants, while some also offered them for sale, adding to the vibrancy of the gathering. Guests also enjoyed complimentary refreshments, including tea, juice, and chickpea sundal, courtesy of the Austin Tamizh Sangam.
