ATS தந்தையர் தின சமையல் போட்டி நிகழ்ச்சி சுருக்கம்

ஆஸ்டின் தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் ஜூன் 14-ஆம் தேதி அன்று நெல்சன் ரான்ச் பூங்காவில் காலை 10:00 மணி முதல் பகல் 12:00 மணி வரை நடத்திய தந்தையர் தின சிறப்பு நிகழ்ச்சியான, தந்தையும்-குழந்தையும் சேர்ந்து சமைக்கும் சைவ மற்றும் அசைவ பிரியாணி போட்டியில் சுமார் 20 போட்டியாளர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். தந்தைகளும், குழந்தைகளும் சேர்ந்து சுவையான பிரியாணியுடன் என்றென்றும் மனதில் நிற்கும் பாசமான, பசுமையான நினைவுகளையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டனர்.

சில தந்தைகள் இந்த போட்டியில் கலந்து கொள்வதற்காகவே பிரியாணி செய்யக் கற்றுக்கொண்டதாகச் சொன்னது ATS-ன் வெற்றி என்று சொன்னால் மிகையாகாது. இந்த போட்டியில் கலந்து கொண்ட பல தந்தையர்கள் இனி தாங்கள் அடிக்கடி தங்கள் குடும்பத்தினருக்குச் சமைத்துக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று பெருமிதத்துடன் கூறியது அனைவரையும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு உள்ளாக்கியது. ATS இளைஞர் அணி இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியை ATS குழுவின் உதவியுடன் மிகச் சிறப்பாக ஒருங்கிணைத்திருந்தனர்.

மிகுந்த சுவையான பிரியாணி சமைத்ததற்காக ஆவணிஷ்-ராஜேஷ்குமார் வெங்கடேசன், எலெனா-ஜோன்ஸ் ஹெர்பர்ட், ரோஹன்-அறிவழகன் குருமூர்த்தி ஆகியோர் முறையே முதல் மூன்று பரிசுகளை வென்றார்கள். சிறந்த குழுவாகச் செயல்பட்டதாக ஆதித்யநாதன்-பிரசாத் சிவகுமாரன் மற்றும் வைஷாலினி-மோகன் குமார் ரமணி ஆகியோர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர். பல சவால்களுக்கு இடையே மிகச் சிறப்பாகச் சரியான நேரத்தில் பிரியாணி செய்து முடித்ததற்காக சஞ்சய்-சண்முகசுந்தரம் செல்லப்பன் இருவரும் பாராட்டப்பட்டனர்.

தந்தையர் தின கொண்டாட்டம் மிகச் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற நடுவர்களாக வந்து உதவிய திருமதி. திவ்யா காந்தி மற்றும் திருமதி. ரேஷ்மா மௌலானா மற்றும் உதவிய அனைத்து தன்னார்வ தொண்டர்களுக்கும், பங்கேற்பாளர்களுக்கும் ஆஸ்டின் தமிழ்ச் சங்கத்தின் நெஞ்சார்ந்த நன்றிகள்.

Austin Tamil Sangam Youth Club celebrated Father’s Day with a biryani cook-off competition on June 14th at Nelson Ranch Park. Approximately 20 participants — fathers and children — joined the event, creating cherished memories together. Many fathers said they learned to cook biryani specifically for this competition, and several expressed their intention to cook for their families more often. ATS felt that was the success of this event. The ATS Youth Team, aided by the ATS Committee, organized the event successfully.

Avanish-Rajeshkumar Venkatesan, Elena-Jones Herbert, and Rohan-Arivazhagan Gurumoorthy won the top three prizes for their delicious biryani. Adityanathan-Prasath Sivakumaran and Vaishalini-Mohan Kumar Ramani were named the best team, while Sanjay-Shanmugasundaram Sellappan was commended for completing their dish on time despite challenges.

The Austin Tamil Sangam extends its gratitude to Mrs. Divya Gandhi and Mrs. Reshma Moulana for judging, as well as to all volunteers and participants for making the celebration a success.
